Look Up! Sniff and Go

In this Sniff & Go event, you and your dog will be looking for high hides of all kinds! Recognizing our dogs’ behavior when there is a high hide, and supporting them as they work out the source is a skill that requires experience. This event is designed to help you gain that experience! Teams will be presented with 3 different search areas, and you can choose which hide placement level you want for your dog: 2.5-4 feet or at least 4 feet high. You will have the option of running the searches like a trial, or with some coaching help during the search. Each team will have a total of 15 minutes, and will have the option to rerun a search where they might not have been successful initially.

Participating dogs must be on Birch, Anise, and Clove, and should have experience working elevated hides at least 4 feet high in classes, as this event is not designed to introduce the concept of high hides.

Your time slot will be assigned by your instructor after you purchase your ticket and you will be notified of your start time in advance. Handlers with two dogs, please wait until April 20th to register your second dog to give everyone a chance to play!
